Minnesota lawmakers adjourned their 2020 regular session with several pieces of unfinished business impacting agriculture. Minnesota Soybean Grower’s Association Executive Director Joe Smentek says a lot of that will have to be handled in a special session later this summer.

He says their majority priority they’ll be weighing in with state lawmakers to get passed during the special session will be tax legislation.

Smentek says getting a soybean processing project funded is another priority.

Smentek says his group is pleased State lawmakers were able to pass some policy provisions as to how to deal with noxious weed seeds in Minnesota.
