The Minnesota Board of Teaching has given approval to Southwest Minnesota State University to offer an Agricultural Education Teacher program. Director of Marketing, Recruitment and Outreach for Agricultural programs, Grant Will says their new program is already up and running this semester.
He says there has been a shortage of agricultural educators and his school is pleased to be able to offer this type of program.
Will says besides the Agricultural Education Teacher program, Southwest Minnesota State also offers five other ag related programs.
Will says their highest enrollment is in their Ag Business Management major.
