The U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance has chosen their board members for 2016. Re Elected Vice Chairman is Mitchell, South Dakota pork producer Brad Greenway. He says the group will continue focusing on bringing the message of agriculture to consumers far removed from the farms and ranches.
Greenway says the organization began five years ago with five member groups and now has reached 94. He says they’ll be continuing food dialogues with consumers. He says USFRA will also take their message to young people.
Nancy Kavazanjian, a soybean farmer from Wisconsin was re-elected as Chairwoman with Nebraska cow calf operator Dawn Caldwell serving as treasurer, Missouri Corn Grower Mike Geske chosen as director-at-large and Nebraska soybean farmer Lisa Lunz elected as Secretary. The remaining director-at-large seat will be appointed in the coming weeks.
