The National Pork Board has named Mitchell South Dakota pork producer Brad Greenway as the 2016 America’s Pig Farmer of the Year. Greenway says he’s humbled by winning the award and hopes to share his story of what he does on the farm with consumers.
He’s hoping to bring a better understanding of production agriculture to those far removed from the farm.
Greenway says his family has been very supportive to him and also does a great job of advocating for the pork industry.
The Pig Farmer of the Year Award recognizes a pig farmer who excels at raising pigs under the WE CARE ethical principles and who connects with today’s consumers about how pork is produced.
