Aberdeen farmer and rancher Jeff Kippley was elected as National Farmers Union Vice-President on Monday at the NFU national convention in Denver, Colorado. Kippley previously served as a nonvoting member of the national farmers union board. He says that throughout his campaign he’s had the opportunity to work with a variety of people.
He says in this position one of the goals he hopes to accomplish is working towards legislation that allows for future generations to be more profitable on the farm.
Kippley notes there is already a lot of positive and promising new legislation that supports producers but there is more work to be done.
In this role, Kippley will work alongside President Rob Larew of West Virginia to serve the members of the National Farmers Union.
