The State of South Dakota recently hit a milestone of sorts by becoming the newest member of the “Gigawatt Club.” The state is now producing one thousand nineteen megawatts of electricity from wind power.

Over two billion dollars has been spent on building wind power projects so far in the state. This all released during the third annual “American Wind Week.”
