Winter Wheat harvesting is well underway across South Dakota. State Wheat Commission Executive Director Reid Christopherson says yields across Central South Dakota have been very good so far.
Christopherson says weather for the most part has been ideal this year for Winter Wheat.
Christopherson who took part in the recent Wheat Quality Council’s Spring Wheat tour of North Dakota and Northern South Dakota says the crop in Northern South Dakota is looking excellent.
Reid says despite some signs of Scab showing up, overall the South Dakota wheat crop is very healthy.
