The South Dakota House followed suit with the Senate and this week passed a $ 7.2 million rail and bridge rehabilitation project. The measure funds a bridge and state owned rail West of Chamberlain to Presho. South Dakota Wheat Grower’s Incorporated pushed for the bill. Wheat Grower’s Bill Pool says it will allow them to move ahead on their plans to build a grain and fertilizer facility in Lyman County.

Pool says they’re anxious to get going as soon as possible with their project.

He says once they’ve completed their new facility it will improve market access for the state’s producers in getting commodities out to export customers.

Pool says their new facility would allow them to load grain and unload fertilizer at the same location.
