An amendment on next month’s South Dakota ballot would raise the approval percentage for future amendments to fifty five percent.
Darrell Solberg with the group, “Represent South Dakota” says they oppose it because it takes away the rights of the majority….
Solberg says the legislature also took other actions this year to make public participation in government more difficult..
Solberg says the legislature should work with the people to open up government…
Amendment “Z” is also on the ballot. That would restrict future amendments to one topic.
