At least one power production company in South Dakota is taking a slow and steady approach to using renewable energy sources.

Northwestern Energy has signed a contract for power produced by the new B&H Wind Center in south east South Dakota.

Northwestern spokesman Tom Glanzer says it is part of their expansion of power sources…

Glanzer says wind power is very expensive compared to other power sources…

Glanzer says they don’t have a target percentage for renewable energy, but are aware that production sources will continue to change…

More wind production in the state will depend on the construction of high capacity power lines taking energy out of the state.
