The Teacher Accountability Review Board will hold its first meeting of the summer Wednesday in Pierre. The board was set up to check on the progress of the enhanced teacher pay plan that was passed by the South Dakota legislature two years ago.
Board member, Representative Julie Bartling of Gregory says school districts are concerned about staying on track with the teacher pay plan……
Bartling says she wants to hear reports on how the state compares on a national scale…..
Bartling says she hopes the state takes more time to help school districts meet the teacher compensation goals……
The committee will also get an update on how the schools are doing in filling teaching vacancies.
