An FFA teacher who’s worked in Belle Fourche, South Dakota and Sundance, Wyoming is the new Executive Director of the South Dakota Stockgrowers Assocation. Stockgrowers President Gary Deering says James Halverson was chosen from 15 applicants and began work this week.
He says they picked Halverson for the job after looking at applicants over a month and a half period.
Deering says they have several issues Halverson will be working on lobbying for the organization when the South Dakota legislature convenes in January in Pierre.
Halverson replaces Silvia Christen who resigned to go to work for the Billy Sutton Governor campaign.
