Farmers will want to attend the SDSU Dakota Lakes Research Farm Field Day scheduled for Thursday, June 30th.  Sam Ireland, the farm’s manager says this year’s annual field tour will offer two separate tours.  Ireland explains the second tour will have many extension field specialists on hand to visit with farmers about small grains, impact on long-term crop rotations, and other agronomic issues.  Ireland says there should be enough time for visitors to participate on both field tours.  Ireland says the second tour will feature a research project focusing on phosphorus.  The program will begin at 3:00 p.m. and it will offer visitors a free meal.  There isn’t any registration required to participate.  The research farm manager tells how to locate the SDSU Dakota Lakes Research Farm.
