SDSU Extension Swine Specialist Bob Thaler took a group of 19 SDSU students to China. He says they learned about agriculture in China and their culture.

He says the students got to see first-hand what a tremendous market opportunity China is for U.S. agriculture.

Thaler says the SDSU students also had a chance to interact with some Chinese students through a class taught by one of his friends.

Thaler says there will be greater demand in China for pork this fall due to the losses in their swine herd tied to African Swine Fever.
