South Dakota State Fair officials are dealing with a rodent problem that can cause a great deal of damage. State Fair Manager Peggy Besch says they’re trying to address an influx of gophers that have been digging holes on the fairgrounds.
She says they’ve hired a pest control business to address the problem.
Besch says getting rid of gophers is not a cheap endeavor.
Besch says they’re estimating the cost to control the gophers is between $ 5,000 and $ 8,000 dollars.
