South Dakota State Fair officials say this week they received a $ 100,000 donation to their capital campaign. That’s the effort to build a new $ 4 million exhibit hall on the state fairgrounds in Huron. Fair Manager Jerome Hertel says four seed companies came together to provide the funds.
Hertel says this week’s contribution bring’s the amount raised for the project so far to just half over what’s needed.
He says once it’s completed it’ll provide a central location for all the 4H activities and will include multiple classrooms, large kitchen, year round concessions and a performance stage as well as exhibit space.
