The South Dakota State Fair recently received a gift from the South Dakota Soybean Research and Promotion Council.  A one-time gift of $10,000 was donated to “The Shed” at the fairgrounds in Huron.  Jerry Schmitz serves as the executive director for the South Dakota Soybean Research and Promotions Council.  He says the money is from the state’s soybean check-ff and tells why the council wanted to give funds to the state fair.

Schmitz says the state soybean council is excited about the project with the shed to be completed in 2024.  The South Dakota soybean official talks about the mind-set of the soybean research and promotion council in offering the gift to the South Dakota State Fair.
