The Senate has been working on the 2018 farm bill this week. South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds expects quick movement so they can get the measure conferenced with the House which has already passed their legislation.
He also expects the conference committee to progress quickly once the Senate approves its measure.
Rounds says one amendment that could snag the whole process is one being considered that would keep President Trump from issuing tariffs unless he has Congressional approval.
Rounds appeared on Drive Time this week on WNAX with Fred and Von.
