Workforce development is a major focus of many communities throughout the state.  The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation currently has about 14,000 jobs located throughout the entire state listed on their online jobs database.  Dawn Dovre is the director of Public Affairs and she says the website lists jobs from a large variety of employers that include skill levels of all types…

Dovre says the website doesn’t just feature full and part time employment listings, but it’s a great resource for students looking to complete internships.  She says internship opportunities offer real world work experience for students looking get a job after school…

She adds that the experience could lead to connections with employers that lead to a job upon graduation…

Dovre says the website benefits employers looking for workers just as much as the people looking for jobs.  The website can be found at SD jobs dot gov.
