The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission is seeing a rapid jump in the number and size of proposed wind power projects.
Commissioner Gary Hanson says they have three large open dockets right now……
The state gets over twenty five percent of electric power from renewable sources. Hanson says that percentage will grow rapidly……..
Hanson says several approved power line projects are key to the major development……
PUC approval is needed for any power project that produces over one hundred megawatts of electricity.
