European Union trade officials are hoping for a quick trade deal with the United States by around March 18. However, that’s not likely according to the National Pork Producers Council. Andersen agrees with NPPC in that barrier issues like protectionism need to be addressed with the E.U. in order to get a good trade deal that also includes agriculture.
