South Dakota Natural Resources Conservation Officials have assistance available for farmers and ranchers hit by flooding, excessive rains and storms. State Conservationist Jeff Zimprich says they have several resources and programs available to help those who have experienced flood damage.

He says for farmers looking for alternative crop options, cover crops is a good choice.

Zimprich says NRCS can help producers who have had to deal with soil erosion caused by heavy rains or flooding.

Zimprich says any producer impacted by flooding or excessive rains needing help should stop by their local county NRCS office.
