The next funding batching date for the Environmental Quality Incentives Program or EQIP is December 21. South Dakota NRCS EQIP Program Coordinator Jennifer Wurtz says the first thing an applicant wants to do is develop a conservation plan.
She says there are several initiatives an applicant can take part in with this EQIP sign-up.
Wurtz says there’s a continuous sign up for EQIP which has been one of the most popular conservation programs in South Dakota.
Wurtz says you can sign up or make application at your local county NRCS office or go to their NRCS website to sign up.
