USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service in South Dakota has awarded grants for 17 Conservation Implementation Strategy Projects. Assistant State Conservationist for programs Jeff Vanderwilt says there’s a wide variety of projects that are being funded under this program.
He says the funding varies for each award.
Vanderwilt says the 17 awards are receiving the funding in a targeted approach that involves some of the existing money from their EQIP, CSP and Easement programs.
Everything from water quality to concentrated animal operations to flood damage and repair and streambank stabilization are included in the 17 projects.
