A gambling industry group in Deadwood will ask the South Dakota legislature to put a constitutional amendment on the 2020 ballot to allow sports betting.
State Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Dave Owen says it stems from a Supreme Court decision..

Owen says it would open up sports betting at a number of locations….

Owen, a long time legislative observer, says sports betting could be an added attraction to the proposed Port Yankton project…

Owen says with the make up of the 2019 session, passage of such an amendment is not a sure thing.
