When South Dakota legislators convene the last day of the 2020 session on Monday, the majority of them won’t be in Pierre.

Due to the coronavirus, legislators will mostly meet online.

Representative Jean Hunhoff of Yankton says she has taken part in some of the practice runs…

Hunhoff says they will be able to vote remotely too….

Governor Kristi Noem updated legislators last (Thursday) night on the financial impact of coronavirus.

Hunhoff says they will probably have to see how much federal aid the state gets before making major budget changes….

The legislature would still have three days left that they could use for a potential special session later this year.
