South Dakota Legislators Dealing with Low Employee Pay

South Dakota legislators wrapped up the 2018 session by finding more money for schools, Medicaid providers and state employees.

Representative Jean Hunhoff of Yankton, a member of the Appropriations Committee, says the employee pay situation hit close to the legislature……

Hunhoff says they also had to move some money around to give more to the Departments of Corrections and Social Services…..

Hunhoff says legislative work never really wraps up…..

Hunhoff will Chair the Government Operations and Audit and Rules Review Committees during the legislative interim.
