One of the summer studies for the South Dakota legislature this year will be the finances of Medicaid providers.
Representative Jim Bolin of Canton, a member of the Executive Board, says many of those providers have a hard time keeping employees
Bolin says the legislature has been dealing with expensive issues over the last few sessions
The legislature this year raised the sales tax a half cent to help pay for teacher raises. Bolin says that other half cent will be in play next year
Other summer studies will look at available nursing home beds, and drug abuse in the state.
