An interim legislative committee has endorsed the creation of a statewide 211 system in South Dakota.
The “Access to Mental Health Services Committee” held their final meeting in Pierre Monday.
Calling 211 would connect a caller with local mental health services and providers.
Committee Chair, Senator Deb Soholt of Sioux Falls says they have estimated costs….
Representative Jean Hunhoff of Yankton says legislators can make the system a priority…
Senator Alan Solano of Rapid City says the system would only be as good as the information available….
The resolution was passed unanimously.
