South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard breezed to a Republican primary victory in his bid for a second full term in office.

He topped lesser-known challenger former state Rep. Lora Hubbel, of Sioux Falls by a margin of eighty one to nineteen percent.

She defeated the former head of the state’s wildfire agency, Joe Lowe.
