The Two Day South Dakota Governor’s Ag Summit runs today and tomorrow in Deadwood with the new Farm Bill and Trade headlining the event. State Ag Secretary Lucas Lentsch says they’re pleased to have USDA Under Secretary Michael Scuse talk about the new farm bill and how it will help producers by giving them choices.
Lentsch says he and the Governor will talk about the importance of trade to the state’s ag economy and will also share with the group the success of recent trade missions like the recent trip to China.
Lentsch says they’ll also talk about the importance of keeping young producers in the business.
