Livestock development for both the dairy and pork industries is at the top of the ag agenda for South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard this legislative session. He says the state has been partnering with various counties on livestock development.

The Governor says he’ll be attempting to bring more dairies to the state as well as push for funding for a regional swine lab at SDSU.

Daugaard is pleased several out of state pork groups have stepped up to help bring funding for SDSU’s swine lab in hopes of making it a regional center.
