South Dakota First Class Cities Meet in Chamberlain

Mayors and City Managers of the state’s larger, or first-class cities met in Chamberlain this week.
Yankton Mayor Nathan Johnson says they estimate about fifty percent of the state’s population was represented at the gathering.
He says cities and the state are trying to figure out what is happening with the internet service provider tax…

Johnson says all of the cities have some issues with tax reports they get from the state…..

Johnson says all of the cities also have issues with replacing and upgrading major infrastructure….

Johnson says the city representatives will meet again in October to talk about their legislative agenda.
