The South Dakota FFA is holding a virtual state convention this year due to the COVID 19 pandemic. State FFA Vice President Blake Pulse says it’ll take place Tuesday May 12 through Thursday May 14 with all their awards and recognition ceremonies taking place.

He says they’ll be streaming their convention through a YOU TUBE channel and it’ll also be available on the web.

Pulse says they have a dozen state officer candidates who have already gone through the interview process.

282 South Dakota FFA members will be receiving their State FFA Degree at the convention. That’s the highest degree of membership conferred by the South Dakota FFA Association. Pulse says he’s enjoyed serving as the group’s State Vice President and is now majoring in Ag Education and is looking forward to continuing to work with the FFA going forward.
