The South Dakota FFA Foundation has received a $ 2,000 grant from Farm Credit Services of America. Foundation Executive Director Gerri Eide says the funding is being used for upgrades at their Ag Adventure Center on the state fairgrounds in Huron.

She says they’re changing the focus of the Ag Adventure Center to interactive exhibits and displays that address food safety and the environmental impact of agriculture.

Eide says they’re now in the middle of their $ 250,000 capital campaign and have raised just over half of that amount.

The South Dakota FFA Foundation is one of 108 groups that have received a Working Here Fund grant in the second quarter of 2016. Farm Credit Services of America has awarded nearly $ 166,000 during this latest grant cycle.
