This week through February 27 is National FFA week. South Dakota FFA President Samantha Olson says it’s been a challenging but positive year for FFA members with the pandemic shifting some activities to virtual events. She says they’ve seen some benefits by going virtual but will still be able to meet in person in April at their State Convention but the location will change.
She says one of the positives by doing more things virtually is that it has piqued interest in membership.
Olson says during FFA week, it’s important to note that those FFA members are the future leaders of the country and any support for them is both needed and appreciated.
FFA state officers have been making chapter visits this week to Mellette and Deubrook and visited an electric company plus met in Pierre with state legislators.
