South Dakota Farmers Union members gather for their state convention Thursday and Friday in Aberdeen. President Doug Sombke says they have a pair of national speakers addressing the group to help lead off the convention.
Sombke says they’ll also hear from State Farm Service Agency Director Craig Schaunaman talking about the new farm bill and PLC and ARC programs. He says they’ll also iron out their resolutions for the coming year.
He says they’ll elect district board directors and hold their foundation banquet which will feature former Congresswoman Stephanie Herseth Sandlin as Master of Ceremonies.
