Late last week, South Dakota Farmers got some recommendations for the upcoming planting season at a meeting hosted by DeKalb Asgrow Agronomists. Jeff Spieler, DeKalb Asgrow technical agronomist says they had a lot of discussion concerning management of plant health for corn.

He says each farming operation is different and has different needs but many of their management tips are uniform.

Spieler says most grower concerns on soybeans centered around weed control.

Spieler says at their winter meetings they normally talk about information they gathered at their test plots the previous season. He says that usually includes everything from fertility trials to crop protection to planting dates and planting populations.
