This week, three tornadoes that brought strong winds and heavy rain did quite a bit of damage in Sioux Falls. Further to the east near Valley Springs, one farmer avoided any major damage. Kevin Scott says despite some hail, the good thing is his corn is still all right.

He says weather this year has been a real challenge for his and his fellow producers.

Scott says with his soybeans getting close to harvest, he’s thankful he escaped most of the storm’s damaging impacts.

Scott has two daughters who live in Sioux Falls and he’s says they are both safe.
