A pair of South Dakota legislative leaders, both Republicans, have now resigned from their positions. Both Dan Lederman of Dakota Dunes and Tim Rave of Baltic, are leaving the South Dakota legislature for different reasons. Lederman says he wants to spend more time with his family, and Rave announced he’s taken a position with Sanford Health. South Dakota Farm Bureau President Scott Vanderwal says both lawmakers were good for agriculture and their experience will be missed.
He hopes that whoever is appointed to fill their legislative positions have at least some understanding of agriculture.
Governor Dennis Daugaard will make appointments for both positions.
