South Dakota and Renewable Fuel group leaders want the Trump administration to allow usage of E-30 fuel. State Farmers Union President Doug Sombke says that higher blend of biofuel is part of the answer to greatly improving the rural economy as well as benefitting the health of all citizens.
He says Governor Kristi Noem has been an advocate for E-30 and while that’s helpful more needs to be done to advance that fuel.
Sombke says if they can get E-30 legalized the economic benefits to the state of South Dakota would be significant.
Sombke and Jim Seurer of Glacial Lakes Energy have written to both President Donald Trump and Governor Kristi Noem asking for E-30 approval.
