If you check the South Dakota Secretary of States website, you will find a “rejected” notation beside all the democratic candidates for statewide office. That’s because they were late in getting their candidates certification turned in.

Democrats will work to change that this week, meeting on Friday to recertify their candidates.

Party Executive Director Sam Parkinson says they have been working with state officials…..

Parkinson says they should be able to work through the process quickly….

Parkinson says they will make sure the paperwork gets in on time…..

The deadline for all political candidates and parties to turn in paperwork is August fourteenth.
