With less than a week until the election, South Dakota Democratic Candidate for the House Paula Hawks, is weighing in on ag issues on the campaign trail. During a stop at WNAX she says Mandatory Country of Origin Labeling never should have been thrown out and needs to be put back in place.
Hawks also says that farmers have been plagued by a depressed ag economy and need a new farm bill approved as soon as possible.
She says the EPA also needs to back a robust RFS level and allow for higher blends of ethanol to move the industry forward.
Hawks is challenging Republican Incumbent Representative Kristi Noem for the state’s lone house seat. Voters head to the polls on Tuesday November 8.
