Houghton, South Dakota farmer Troy Knecht has been re elected to another three year term on the American Coalition for Ethanol Board of Directors. Knecht who serves as President of the South Dakota Corn Grower’s Association says ACE has three priorities they’re pushing this year including getting the Reid Vapor Pressure rule lifted to allow year around use of E 15., preservation of the RFS and getting higher octane levels available for motorists.

He says it’s encouraging that U.S. ethanol exports have already reached a new all time high of 1.15 billion gallons this marketing year.

Knecht says Mexico has been one of our better customers for ethanol and there’s potential for growing that market even more.

The American Coalition for Ethanol is holding their annual conference this week in Omaha.
