South Dakota Corn has donated $100,000 to Feeding South Dakota. State Corn Utilization Council President Robert Walsh of Elk Point says this is the largest amount they’ve ever donated to Feeding South Dakota over the past eight years.

He says Feeding South Dakota’s needs have grown due to the pandemic and South Dakota Corn’s members have been and remain committed to helping the needs of the hungry.

Walsh says the pandemic has led to many being unemployed which has added to the numbers of people needing Feeding South Dakota’s services.

Walsh says Feeding South Dakota has the ability to utilize the donations they get to purchase bulk supplies of food and get it to those who need it the most.
