A Congressional hearing on the future of the VA medical facility in Hot Springs did provide many answers.
South Dakota Congresswoman Kristi Noem sponsored the meeting two weeks ago and was very unhappy with the response of VA officials.

Noem says VA officials at the hearing did not come prepared to give them any realistic information on the proposed transfer of medical services out of Hot Springs.

Noem says she feels there is considerable support to keep the medical services in the southern Black Hills.

She says she will continue contact with the VA when she returns to Washington next month.
