The South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association is holding its 71st. annual convention and trade show in Pierre Tuesday and Wednesday. President Steve Ollerich says a major part of their discussion will be about producer stress and dealing with a challenging year.

He says their members will also be talking about regulations effecting confined animal feedlot operations and their desire for a more uniform approach to those.

Ollerich says they’ve been seeing growth in their membership and hope to increase that going forward.

Ollerich says they’ll also be getting an update on the development of radio frequency livestock identification tags as well as hear about farm and ranch estate planning.
