The South Dakota Board of Regents has agreed on four budget priorities for the coming year.
Holding their annual planning session in Pierre last week, Regents President Kevin Schieffer says a scholarship program is their top priority…
Schieffer says they are proposed to split the cost for the scholarship program, called “Dakota’s Promise.”..
Schieffer says they are also asking for more money for salaries..
Other proposals are for building maintenance and to cover inflationary costs.
The Regents request is an eight point nine-million-dollar increase, or four point two percent above last year’s budget.
