South Dakota Board of Regents Adds Expectations for New C.E.O.

The South Dakota Board of Regents has set up a framework of expectations and direction for their new CEO, Paul Beran.

Board President Kevin Schieffer says it is something he has used in his businesses….

One of the priorities is to improve cooperation with all other educational groups in the state, from K – 12, to technical and private schools.

Schieffer says they will refer to the list at every meeting….

Schieffer says it should be a useful tool for the public and the Regents…

Other priorities on the list include finding funding for need based scholarships, increase university based research, and find a clear mission for University Centers in Rapid City and Sioux Falls.
