South Dakota Attorney General, Marty Jackley, has several requests for the 2015 Legislature to consider in their upcoming session. One of those requests includes changing the state’s sex offender registry to include those who are a part of a growing problem.
Jackley says it wouldn’t be a large change to the current way the registry is maintained.
Jackley is also proposing that the state address several charitable raffle and lottery scams that did not reward the advertised prize and did not refund donations. He is asking the legislature to attach consequences to those scams.
The entire legislative package from the Attorney General includes eight proposals for the 2015 legislative session.
